A Rybelsus tracker built around the morning routine

Rybelsus works only if it is taken the same careful way every morning. The log keeps the streak, the step dates and the 30 minute wait.

Rybelsus is semaglutide as a daily tablet, Novo Nordisk's oral GLP-1 for type 2 diabetes. It is also approved to lower the risk of heart attack, stroke and cardiovascular death in adults with type 2 diabetes at high risk. The same label now covers Ozempic tablets, a newer semaglutide tablet with different strengths. It is a different product from the oral Wegovy pill for weight loss, which has its own oral Wegovy tracker.

The schedule

Rybelsus dosing, from the label
PeriodDoseNotes
Days 1 to 303 mg once dailyStarting dose, not meant to control glucose
Days 31 to 607 mg once daily
If needed, after at least 30 days14 mg once dailyMaximum dose

Ozempic tablets follow the same shape at 1.5 mg, then 4 mg, then 9 mg. The two are not interchangeable milligram for milligram, and the label says not to switch between them in the first 30 days. Log the product name as well as the dose.

How to take it

  • One tablet, first thing in the morning, on an empty stomach.
  • With up to 4 ounces (about 120 ml) of plain water. No other drink.
  • Swallowed whole. Not split, crushed or chewed.
  • Then wait at least 30 minutes before eating, drinking or taking other tablets.

Absorption depends on all four. A log that records the time of the tablet and the time of breakfast shows whether the 30 minutes is really happening.

Missed a dose

Skip it and take the next tablet the following morning. Never take two in a day.

Setting it up in Peptide AI

  1. Add Semaglutide (oral) from the compound library. The unit and the daily schedule are already set.
  2. Enter the titration your prescriber gave you. The app shows which week of which step you are on and when the next step is due.
  3. Add the pen or vial, with doses remaining and the expiry date. A refill reminder fires at three doses left.
  4. Set the reminder for when you wake up, and a second one 30 minutes later for breakfast.
  5. Log each dose when you take it, with the site. Notes for side effects go on the dose.

What the timeline shows

The free log holds the daily tablet, the streak, the notes and the food. Premium adds bloodwork from a PDF, so HbA1c sits against the date each step started, plus weight, sleep and heart rate from Oura, WHOOP, Garmin, Apple Health or Health Connect. The semaglutide tracker covers the weekly injections.

Logging on Peptide AI is free, and that includes GLP-1s. The dose log, the titration schedule, vials with doses remaining, injection sites with a rotation reminder, nutrition, supplements and training are all on the free tier with no card. Premium adds bloodwork, Oura, WHOOP, Garmin, Apple Health and Health Connect on the same timeline, the body scanner and Remi, the coach that answers from your own log. The pricing page has the three plans.
