Peptide AI as a MyFitnessPal alternative for GLP-1 users

MyFitnessPal is the food log most people already have. It does not know about the shot. Here is what that costs, and whether you need two apps.

This comparison is built from the other app’s public App Store listing and website, checked on 10 October 2026, and from ours. "Not listed" means we could not find the feature in their description, not that it is absent. We make Peptide AI. If something here is out of date, tell us and we will correct it.

What MyFitnessPal does well

MyFitnessPal is the largest food database in any consumer app, with barcode scanning, a meal scanner, recipe import, and weight tracking that connects to most scales and watches. It has a GLP-1 programme in its premium tier aimed at protein and the nutrition questions that come with the drugs. For calorie and macro logging it is the reference everyone else is measured against, and many people on a GLP-1 keep using it.

What it does not do

It has no dose log. It does not know what you injected, when, where, or which step of the ladder you are on. It cannot tell you that nausea is worse on day two after the shot, that weight stalled the month you dropped a step, or that you are past the 4 day missed dose window. It does not parse bloodwork. For someone on a weekly injection, the thing that moves the numbers is missing from the chart.

Where Peptide AI is different

  • The dose is the spine. Every dose, site and titration step, with vials counted and the missed dose window flagged. Free.
  • Food on the same timeline. Calories and macros by photo or barcode, protein against a target. Smaller database than MyFitnessPal, same job.
  • Supplements and training. Scan the bottle, import the watch sessions. Free.
  • Bloodwork. On Premium, a lab PDF becomes 36 biomarkers against the dose steps.
  • Wearables. Weight, sleep, HRV and resting heart rate from Oura, WHOOP, Garmin, Apple Health or Health Connect, on Premium.
  • Remi. A coach that reads all of it, on Premium.

Do you need both

If you have years of recipes and habits in MyFitnessPal, keep it and let it write weight to Apple Health or Health Connect, which Peptide AI reads on Premium. Log the dose in Peptide AI. If you are starting fresh on a GLP-1, one app is simpler, and ours covers the food well enough for the question that matters on these drugs, which is protein.
