A side effects tracker that knows which shot the nausea followed
The useful question is not whether you felt sick. It is which day after which dose, on which step. Log it against the shot and the pattern shows itself.
Most GLP-1 side effects are predictable in shape. Nausea peaks a day or two after the injection and fades by the weekend. Constipation builds over a week. Fatigue is worst in the first fortnight on a new step. None of that is visible if the only record is "felt rough this month." It is obvious if every entry is dated and tied to the dose it followed.
How to log a side effect in Peptide AI
- Log the dose first. Amount, time and site. This is the anchor every symptom hangs off.
- Add the symptom as a note on that dose, or on the day. Nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhoea, heartburn, fatigue, headache, dizziness, injection site reaction. A severity from mild to severe, and a word or two about what you ate.
- Let the timeline do the rest. Every note sits on the same week as the dose, the food log and, on Premium, your weight and sleep from the watch. Day two nausea on every 1 mg week is a sentence you can say to your prescriber.
What is worth writing down
Keep it short and keep it honest. The things prescribers actually ask about at the four-week review:
- Which days after the shot the nausea ran, and whether it stopped you eating.
- Vomiting, with a count. Repeated vomiting is the one that changes decisions, because of dehydration and because it can be a sign of something other than the drug.
- Bowel habit. Constipation is the most under-reported GLP-1 side effect and the easiest to fix early.
- Pain in the upper abdomen that does not go away, or that goes through to the back. That is not a note, that is a call to your prescriber the same day. It is on the label for pancreatitis.
- Heart rate, if you wear a watch. GLP-1s nudge resting heart rate up by a few beats a minute, and the wearable line makes that visible without guessing.
- Mood. The Wegovy label asks prescribers to monitor for depression and suicidal thoughts. Write it down if it changes.
The pattern the log is looking for
Side effects on these drugs track the dose step, not the calendar. The first week on any new step is the roughest, the second is better, and by week four most people have settled, which is why the labels space the steps four weeks apart. A log that shows the same curve on every step is reassuring. A log where week four is as bad as week one is the signal to hold the dose rather than climb. Our side effects by week page walks through what that curve usually looks like.
Why not a notes app
You can keep this in Notes, and plenty of people do. The difference is the anchor. A note that says "nausea, Thursday" is a data point. A note on the dose that says "day 2 after 1 mg, week 3, moderate, skipped lunch" sits next to the previous eleven doses and the weight line, and the app can read it back. On Premium, Remi reads the lot and answers questions like "which step gave me the least nausea for the most weight change," with the dates to back it.
Logging on Peptide AI is free, and that includes GLP-1s. The dose log, the titration schedule, vials with doses remaining, injection sites with a rotation reminder, nutrition, supplements and training are all on the free tier with no card. Premium adds bloodwork, Oura, WHOOP, Garmin, Apple Health and Health Connect on the same timeline, the body scanner and Remi, the coach that answers from your own log. The pricing page has the three plans.
Questions people ask
Which GLP-1 side effects should I track?
Nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhoea, heartburn, fatigue, headache, dizziness and injection site reactions cover almost everything. Add severity and the day after the shot. Severe or persistent abdominal pain, repeated vomiting, or mood changes are reasons to call your prescriber, not just log.
How long do GLP-1 side effects last?
Most are worst in the first one to two weeks after a dose increase and ease by week four. That is why titration steps are at least four weeks apart. Side effects that are still rising at week four are worth a conversation about holding the dose.
Can I track side effects for free?
Yes. Notes on doses are part of the free dose log. Seeing them against your weight and sleep from a wearable is Premium.
